My first blog…uh…well, actually, my first blog that I think I might be able to find again!
I’m in New Hampshire. Heidi (my niece) is sitting on the floor beside me working on photos on her laptop and talking to her friends. She is mentoring me through this painful blogging experience, listening to me whine about having to learn something new…I need pencil and paper for journalling! But, then, I need a lawyer to protect my journals from ever being read by anyone! LoL! Maybe blogging will eliminate the need for a lawyer — you know, the paranoia of writing something I don’t want someone else to read will be motivation to be a bit more disciplined in what I write!
So, the whole reason I got started on this tonight, was that I finally had time to sit down and catch up on Sarah’s family blog and it motivated me to post a comment on hers which meant that I had to sign on to wordpress for an account which then required a username and password which of course took forever because all the usernames i picked were already chosen by someone else (possibly even by me for one of the previous blogs i’ve started and can never again find) and i hope by reading this long run-on sentence that you will get some feel for the frustration i experience at the continous effort of thinking and hand/eye coordination it requires to put together a simple blog when all you really wanted to do was sneak up on your kids and see what they were up to! sigh.
okay. seriously. i’m not certain i know anything well enough to write a blog that anyone else would enjoy reading. however, it’s already feeling very addictive. rambling, that is. so, here goes, something worth sharing:
5 Things I’m Grateful for Today:
* the pleasure of fall here in new hampshire, the colors, the air
* thoughts of you, my children, how full you make my life, my prayers are with you moment to moment
* how good it is to have niece who can take good pics (since my dear camera beckons from afar, atop my desk in Indiana!)
* what simple joy to dance with aunt kk to richard simmons and see the simple look of happiness upon her face
* spending time with Bev & Roy who have no idea how comforting they are to me
So glad to know I was the root motivator for this blog. In some small way anyway. It’s just how it is for us - I force you to be a better person. Admit it. HAHAHAHA
Glad you are finally online. This is either gonna be really fun or it will be the undoing of our relationship….HAHAHAHA JUST KIDDING!!!!
Dang…now I can’t write anymore crap about you on my blog….
HI! Glad to see you are trying out blogging! It sounds like you are having a nice time in New Hampshire! I would love to go up there to see all the Fall colors!!
I have left comments …. where are they???
Just wanted to say “congrats!!”. Blog whether anyone reads or not. And don’t worry about catagories. It’s cleansing to get the thoughts out of your head. Just type and enjoy yourself!
Hi Gwendolyn! Thanks for leaving a message! I haven’t been blogging again since the first attempt - no time! Anyway, what a surprise to see that someone actually read and responded! Kinda fun
Hope all is well…How’s life in Boerne?
